OTTAWA (from Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group) — The Ontario Hockey League on Friday announced that Ottawa 67’s defenceman Kevin Bahl has received a 10-game suspension after the review of an incident in Sunday’s game against the Peterborough Petes. Bahl will eligible to return to the 67’s lineup March 2 when the 67’s visit Eastern Conference leading Hamilton Bulldogs.
The incident reviewed was a game misconduct for a checking to the head assessed to Bahl following a check to Peterborough Petes defenceman Cole Fraser.
“Ten games without a player of Kevin’s ability is difficult on any hockey club at this time of the year, but we accept the league’s ruling on this incident and look forward to having him back in the lineup on March 2 as we continue our drive towards the playoffs,” said 67’s GM James Boyd.
The 67’s return to action at The Arena at TD Place on Saturday when they play host to the Oshawa Generals at 2 p.m. ET followed by the Owen Sound Attack at 2 p.m. ET Sunday
