Canadian international defender Allysha Chapman went 10th overall to the North Carolina Courage in Tuesday’s dispersal draft of Boston Breakers players.
The Breakers officially folded Sunday, reducing the NWSL to a nine-team league.
Chapman joins fellow Canadian Sabrina D’Angelo in North Carolina.
Canadian striker Adriana Leon went 18th to Sky Blue FC. She joins fellow Canadians Kailen Sheridan, Janine Beckie and Amandine Pierre-Louis at the New Jersey-based team.
The Washington Spirit traded up to get the first pick in the draft, sending Sky Blue FC the No. 2 pick in the dispersal draft, as well as a conditional first-round pick and a second round-pick in the 2019 NWSL college draft.
The Spirit used the first overall pick to take midfielder Rose Lavelle.
Sky Blue chose forward Savannah McCaskill second while defender Megan Oyster went third to the Seattle Reign.
