PORTLAND, Ore. — Henri Jokiharju had a goal and an assist to lead the Portland Winterhawks to a 4-2 victory over the Kamloops Blazers at the Moda Center on Sunday.
Jokiharju and Jake Gricius gave the Winterhawks a 2-0 lead through two periods.
Keoni Texeira gave Portland a 3-0 lead early in the third period before Luc Smith at the six-minute mark and Quinn Benjafield at 8:31 got the Blazers within one goal.
Mason Mannek sealed it for the Winterhawks with an empty-netter with 17 seconds left in the third.
Cole Kehler made 33 saves on 35 shots to earn the win for Portland while Max Palaga stopped 28 of 31 shots for Kamloops.
